I started with the idea of telling a story of a college student that found new ways of surviving stress than the typical ways that most college students do. As I started to think about the writings we read in class I really liked the idea of readymade by Ramage. I feel like it explained what I was getting at. I don't like the fact that so many college students just accept this is they way they are supposed to live and that's it. Especially since many of the things we turn to when life is stressful end up making everything worse. So I decided to focus more on exposing some of the readymades that exist in hope that it would make people think about how these identities are affecting their lives.
The more I worked on it and tried to organize the images and text I feel like it might have been a slightly big topic to try to conquer in this format. I like the way it turned out, but I'm looking forward to getting some feedback. I'm thinking I might end up cutting out some stuff or try to narrow it down if people feel like it's too broad. Being the creator it's sometimes hard to know if people will follow the logic you were trying to create. So depending on what people did or didn't connect with I might refocus or emphasize different parts. I also might try to find pictures that more easily convey the meaning I'm trying to. I like most of them, but some of the images I feel might be a bit weak. Again, I'm looking forward to seeing if the feedback mentions anything about that.
